“ The food and service here was outstanding! Eli and the team were extremely warm, polite, professional and inviting. The food felt homely and comforting. Thank you for an excellent and pleasant experience ”
“ Delicious food major bonus points for shawarma served the right way. Garlic sauce is great as is the house hummus. Service was the cherry on top, felt like a guest at a family members home. ”
“ Great and distinctively flavored food in a nice looking space with great ambiance! Plus the food is not terribly expensive. The two person combo we ordered was less than 50. Not bad at all and it was quite filling. Great food, eyecatching dining space and ambiance pretty much are what characterizes a complete restaurant and I completely love Sumac! We started with Lebanese sausages. They are small and taste pretty good though they are not my favorite sausages ever. They come with pickles and fries. The fries were amazing. We had a combo plate for two people. It included chicken kabab, beef kabab and kafta, with rice, hummus and pickles. I totally loved the kafta its perfectly condimented, but not in a way that will upset your stomach like in the case of some Indian dishes. The chicken kabab was very tender and perfectly flavored. Ive never had a chicken kebab like this one anywhere else. The beef kebab was perfect. The pickles were really good and the hummus was quite unique in taste though I cant say its my favorite hummus. The rice wasnt good. I didnt enjoy it. The food was arranged quite aesthetically and they pay great attention to detail. Some of their servingware is really cute. Theyve got outside seating available. Meter parking outside. ”
“ WOW! Eli and Stephanie were so accommodating. We came in 3 days before our event anticipating 40 guests and they squeezed us in. The food was excellent, hands down best Mediterranean food Ive had and they were so understanding and communicative. 1010 experience! ”
“ When my business partner bit into the kebeh that we ordered he made a face of delight that Ive never seen him make before. I laughed out loud. He said, This is the best kebeh Ive ever had and I said, I can tell! He was right. What a beautiful experience it was to dine at Sumac. This place is special. This isnt just authentic Lebanese food, its curated recipes from Lebanese Mom and Grandma and Great Grandma, or at least thats what I imagined. Im already craving more Babaganoush topped with pomegranate seeds. The chicken shawarma sandwich was fresh and tender and delicious. The owner Eli and staff are lovely and welcoming. I cant wait to try other items on the menu in the future. Today I just wanted my favorite Lebanese comfort food items and I succeeded in getting them. Easy parking, patio, bar, good vibes all around. I loved sitting in the window and looking at the flowering geraniums just on the window sill. Its the details. ”
“ Wonderful experience and tasty food! The reception was great and the food tasted great. You must try the Manaeesh You will never regret it. ”
“ This place is a hidden gem! After hiking Runyon Canyon, I was looking for a healthy, fresh meal and decided to try this restaurant because it serves Mediterranean fooda favorite of mine for healthy options. I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and fresh everything was. The service was great too, and the prices were very reasonable. It definitely exceeded my expectations, and Ill be coming back for sure! ”
“ We stopped in this delightful Lebanese restaurant on our way to Hollywood Bowl. The owner was super friendly and the food was very tasty and flavorful. The fatoush salad with the Pomegranate dressing was outstanding. They also have fresh homemade lemonade and mint inched tea. Both were awesome. Highly recommended. ”
